Don Peoples has always loved to create. The Akron, OH native is a graphic artist for the Akron-Summit County Public Library. He also does freelance work. A member of the National Cartoonists Society and the Northern Ohio Illustrators Society, Peoples is a founding Board of Directors member of the ToonSeum, a museum of cartoon art in Pittsburgh, PA. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design from the University of Akron.


Peoples was selected as the First Night Akron 2012 button artist. First Night Akron is a New Year's Eve celebration of the arts. 

Peoples' work has been exhibited at the Butler Institute of American Art, Cuyahoga Community College, the Summit County (OH) Executive’s Office, and the Valley Art Center. 

Publications where his work appears includes The ABCs of Akron and Summit County Coloring & Activity Book, Attack of the Political Cartoonists, The Clarke County (AL) Democrat, the Cleveland Monitor, Cooking It Up in Cleveland!, North: A Graphic Guide to Pittsburgh’s North Side, and Toon Appétit: Recipes and Cartoons from the Great Lakes Chapter of the National Cartoonists Society.


Audiences throughout Northeast Ohio has been educated and entertained with Peoples' cartooning presentations.
